This program is designed for new nursing graduates and Internationally-Educated nurses who are writing the NCLEX-RN for the first time. NCLEX-RN®: Study Program– Repeat Writer
This program is designed for nursing graduates who are struggling with passing the NCLEX-RN®. Similar to the first time writer course, this course is a comprehensive review program that focuses on the client needs areas for the exam and contains a pharmacology review course and a newly launched CAT Exam Simulator. In this program you will learn study strategies to help cut down the amount of time you spend studying and provide alternate ways to organize nursing content focused on disease management that will promote your retention of knowledge and critical thinking on exam day. Direct strategies for uncovering difficulties in regards to exam success will be included and a focus on how to re-set and work towards success on the exam will be taken. A conversation regarding learning needs and the role of the accommodation process for NCLEX-RN® preparation will be completed. Strategies for individuals with learning disabilities for Computer Adaptive Testing and the management of Exam Anxiety will be identified. Repeat writers may have the opportunity to connect with other repeat writers across North America to form study groups for additional support. NCLEX-RN®: Pharmacology Study Program
This pharmacology study program is included in the NCLEX-RN®: Study Program– First time writer and Repeat writer. It is also available to be purchased individually for those students/graduates who feel they only require pharmacological review at this time. The course starts with a 120 question Pharmacology Quiz (also available to try for free) to assess where your knowledge level is at. This course then contains 19 modules focused on a systems approach to review the major classes of drug therapy. A focus on adverse events, health teaching and drug-to-drug interactions is taken in this course. Each section will also address aspects of pathophysiological review of specific disease conditions. There are fictional client cases and interactive exercises and videos linked throughout the course. Varying types of over 100 practice questions are linked throughout the course. Please note that unlike the other two programs this pharmacology review program does NOT come with a money back guarantee.
NCLEX-RN: Computer Adaptive Test (CAT) – Simulator & Tools for passing the exam.
This module contains an introduction to Computerized Adaptive Testing and provides a number of strategies and tools to tackle the different NCLEX-RN® questions. I have left my studying to the last minute. Will this Study Program help me?
It is never wise to leave your NCLEX-RN® preparation to the last minute. This study program has been designed with at least 15 week study plan in mind. However, it is common that many candidates wait 1-2 months prior to the exam to prepare. Content review within this study program is designed in five parts so you can focus on different areas of the Test Plan. Identify areas of priority review if you are working with limited time. If you are a repeat writer use your test results to guide you and start in the client needs areas you were below the passing average in (However, my experience working with repeat writers of the NCLEX-RN® is that they need to slow down and reset their preparation strategies). Please remember that this study program involves active learning strategies. This means that you will be expected to look up content for review, complete exercises and make study maps/content maps as you progress. If you are looking for a resource that contains lecture videos and easy ways to just memorize information this program is not for you! This program is designed to help nursing graduates engage in content review aligned with the current NCLEX-RN® Test Plan, engage in active strategies so you are learning not just trying to memorize content and complete in-depth pharmacological and disease management review.

My nursing program recommends other NCLEX-RN® resources. How can I tell which resource is the best one to use to prepare for the NCLEX-RN®?
This study program provides feedback regarding various NCLEX-RN® preparation tools from an undergraduate educator’s perspective who has worked extensively with candidates who struggle on the exam. There is not one set tool or resource that will fully prepare you for this exam. You need to learn to combine various resources to better increase your chances for success on the exam. This study program helps to identify relevant NCLEX-RN® resources and provides strategies for their use.
One piece of advice that Dr. Kramer-Kile offers to students looking for NCLEX-RN® resources is to ensure that they are aligned with the current 2016-2019 NCLEX-RN® Test Plan and that the course is taught by a nursing educator who is familiar with undergraduate curriculum and the needs of a learner who is just entering into practice. A reputable NCLEX-RN® review website should always contain who the author is and their credentials. Why is it important to know the Current Test Plan for the NCLEX-RN®?
Many candidates take the NCLEX-RN® without ever looking over the Test Plan. The Test Plan tells you exactly which content is an area of priority on the exam. This study program is designed to help organize your study notes in direct alignment with the current Test Plan and provides ways to help you apply and critically think with the content you study. It is important when you are studying to address all 4 of the client needs areas addressed on the 2016-2019 NCLEX-RN® Test Plan. Use the order presented in the chapters of this study program to help build your knowledge for the NCLEX-RN®. It is helpful to take a large binder and divide it into the four client needs areas. Why are the answers not provided immediately to the worksheets in this Study Program?
Real learning does not occur through memorization, it occurs through active engagement with content. The worksheets and review exercises are designed to help direct your studying towards particular content. They are best utilized when you answer the review questions and download the linked documents. It is up to you to make study notes within each of the worksheet areas in order to understand the key content addressed.
